Chocolate Tart Recipe
This is a recipe for tarte-au-chocolat. It is very tasty and best eaten with ice cream.
Ingredients
Shortcrust pastry (see sweet french pastry)
150g good dark chocolate (roughly chopped)
250ml of whipping cream
1 tsp of cognac
Method
1. Press the pastry into the tart tin using your fingers( this is much easier than having to roll out the pastry and cut it to size, but you can if you want). Don’t worry about the pastry getting a little warm.

2. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes until lighlty golden.
3. Melt the chocolate over simmering water. Add in the cream and cognac.

4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pastry case and put in the fridge to set.
