Ingredients
8oz/200g plain flour
8oz/200g oats
3oz/75g sugar
6oz/150g melted margarine

Filling:
9oz/250g stoned dates
4floz/100ml fruit juice
lemon juice

Method
Preheat the oven to gas mark 4/350F/180C.

Base: Mix together flour, oats & sugar.
Filling: Simmer together dates, juice & lemon juice.
Pour melted margarine into flour mixture to make a soft dough.
Put half in the base of a swiss roll tin.
Put filling on top.
Cover with other half of dough.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
