Date Slice Recipe

DATE SLICES

Ingredients

  • 200g plain flour
  • 200g oats
  • 75g sugar
  • 150g melted butter

Filling:

  • 250g stoned dates
  • 100ml fruit juice
  • lemon juice

Method
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Mix together flour, oats, sugar and butter to make a soft dough. Press half into the base of a swiss roll tin.
Simmer together dates, fruit juice and lemon juice.
Put filling on top of the base.
Cover with other half of dough.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
