GINGERBREAD

Ingredients
1½oz white cooking fat
2oz soft brown sugar
2oz golden syrup
2oz black treacle
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
4oz plain flour
pinch salt
½ level teaspoon bicarb
1 level teaspoon ground ginger
1 level teaspoon cinnamon
2oz sultanas

Method
Gently melt together fat, sugar, treacle & syrup & cool slightly.
Beat together eggs & milk.
Sift together flour, salt & spices & add sultanas.
Combine all sets of ingredients.
Bake in a shallow 7 inch tin for 30 mins on Gas Mark 4/350F/175C.
