MALT LOAF

Ingredients
1lb self-raising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1oz soft brown sugar
4oz raisins
½ pint milk (good measure)
2 good tablespoons malt extract

Method
Gently melt all the ingredients together over a low heat.
Place in 1 large or 2 small loaf tins & bake for 1 hour on Gas Mark  3/325F/160C.
Can be glazed on removal from oven with 1 tablespoon of milk and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
