Welsh Cake Recipe

Welsh Cakes
These are brilliant warm ad sprinkled with sugar

Ingredients
200gĀ self rasing flour
1 tsp baking powder
75g rasins
75g caster sugar
1 large egg
100g butter milk

Method

1. Sift flour baking powder and caster sugar into a bowl.

2. Rub in the butter until you get the texture of breadcrumbs.

3. Mix in the beat in the egg and add to the mixture and mix.

4. If the mixture is too dry add the milk.

5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out with a cutter, re-rolling and cutting untill the dough is all gone.

6. Cook on a griddle 5 at a time.

Sprinkle with sugar and keep in a air tight container
